Dental Technology

Dental technology has come a long way in a very short time. Medical knowledge and equipment advancement continues to increase, providing treatments that are better and more effective than ever. Our office is excited to offer these benefits to you!

Paperless Office

Just one of the improvements that we’re particularly excited about is the jump from paper to digital. We have established a completely paperless office style, and we’re able to do that because of some of the excellent equipment available to us.

This paperless style allows us to:

  • Decrease waste by eliminating physical documentation.
  • Decrease need the need for storage space.
  • Decrease the time needed to transfer files and x-rays to or from a lab.
  • Increase the speed at which your checkups can proceed.
  • Increase the accuracy of the information we gather about your mouth.
  • Increase the types and amounts of information we can gather about your mouth.

Our paperless office helps us become more efficient in every way, and we know you will appreciate the difference our digitized style makes in our service to you!

Digital X-Rays

X-rays have long been a valuable tool for dentists, and the transition to digital has only made x-rays more useful. With digital x-rays, we no longer have to wait for film to be developed. We can see the images almost immediately on the computer screen. As a result, we can also retake any badly positioned or blurred images with no inconvenience to you, and no time lost.

We can also zoom in on our high-definition x-rays in order to get a better view of anything we need to see more closely. We can transfer and store these images easily. On top of everything else, digital x-rays are also safer than film, as they require less radiation to get a precise image.

Cone Beam 3D Imaging

There are two amazing aspects to cone-beam 3D imaging that we’d love to tell you about.

The first has to do with the shape of the scanner. Cone-shaped beams allow us to get a picture of your mouth and jaw that doesn’t flatten the image the way a regular camera would. This allows us a more accurate picture of hard-to-see spaces and helps us guarantee that small problems won’t get missed.

Secondly, this type of scanning can see both soft tissue and hard tissue at the same time. This is a valuable tool for seeing the structures that make up your entire mouth and how well they work together. After all, everything in your body works together, and your mouth is no exception.

Virtual Dental Appointments

When we decided to go paperless, that certainly included our calendars, x-rays, and notes, but these simple records aren’t where our digital style ends. If you have any concerns about your teeth, whether it be sudden pain or an injury, you can do a digital consultation with us.

Yes, you read that right. From the comfort of your own home, you can chat with a professional in our office in order to get advice on how best to treat your dental issues.
